About Ben Strong

I have deep experience as an engineer and leader in the real-time communication space. I founded the startup that built the first WebRTC PaaS (vLine) and have built scalable apps and services utilizing both real-time (WebRTC/RTP/RTCP) and streaming (RTMP/HLS/DASH) media stacks, including some that tied both together.My goal is to live at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and new user experiences. I built a fast mobile web browser that could access the whole web (Blazer) in 1999, worked on some of the first real smart phones at Handspring, built a mobile/desktop/web real-time sync service (SugarSync) years before iCloud, and was one of the lead architects on the OS that pioneered many of the key features of the modern mobile UX (WebOS).
