Conducted in the UK and in Bosnia• Operational Mentor to Afghan Army - operational training mentor to Afghan Brigade staff officers• QM Basra Air Station Iraq and QM 1st Bn Grenadier Guards - Responsible for all aspects of logistical support including technical elements• Unit Training Officer - Responsible for collective and individual training in an infantry Battalion. I progressed through the ranks from soldier to become the senior Warrant Officer of the most senior Infantry regiment in the British Army. 24 years service before being commissioned and experience in many operational roles. Notably as a successful counter terrorist search advisor in both Northern Ireland and Bosnia And as an instructor at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. As Regimental Sergeant Major I was responsible for discipline and standards within the Battalion and for developing the leadership of the more junior non commissioned officers. The post requires presence and a high degree of leadership. Very few soldiers are fortunate enough to be selected for this post. My operational experience spans three decades from Northen Ireland to Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
