David Stroud founded a consulting business as a historic buildings consultant, designer and project manager more than 25 years ago. In that time, he has focused on saving some of America's most significant architectural treasures. His varied career includes a stint in the US Army, furniture conservator and historic buildings and decorative arts consultant working throughout the US and UK.David has a degree in historic preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design and many years’ of experience in the design and construction industry. This has allowed him to fully express his passion for classical, traditional and vernacular architecture and to work with many clients who share that passion as well. David has appeared on HGTV’s Modern Masters as well as Greystone Productions Savannah Plantations as Eli Whitney and most recently, PBS’s 'Trail of History'. He has also been in several magazine and newspaper articles relating to design, historic preservation and decorative arts.In his personal life, David helps to educate and promote historic preservation in his surrounding community.
