About Shane Troyano

Let me tell you a story.A story about a 10 year old boy struggling to identify himself in a crazy, imaginative world. This kid not only had a difficult time discovering what he wanted to do, but how he fit into the world. He would go to school. Everyday, a kid would bully him for being gay. He felt defeated, but would tell himself, "Just make it through the day so you can watch your all-time favorite programs, WWE Monday Night Raw, NXT, and Smackdown!" Watching these programs, he saw the unique characters and wildest personalities. He started thinking, "How can I tell the story of the person behind the camera?" It hit him. He found his dream of communicating his own story and wanted to showcase other people's stories as well. He got to work.The boy had a vision. He loved creating and bringing enthusiasm into everything he did. He decided to become a full-time student at Kent State University and wanted to work towards a Bachelors of Science in Journalism. Also, due to his love of promoting his favorite musicians, he also wanted to brush up his skills in social media and use it as another storytelling aspect. From this, he is also working towards a minor in Public Relations.Excited for a new opportunity to get experience, he joined Kent State's award-winning TV station, TV2, as a morning anchor and entertainment host. In his first couple semesters, he would stumble. He would fail. He would beat himself up. But, because he had a dream, he kept going. He kept striving to be the best version of himself. He enhanced his skills from these opportunities and worked his way to becoming an intern for the TODAY Show in New York City. Then, getting his first full-time job as a news producer at NBC4 in Columbus!By the way, that kid is me. A storyteller at heart who always strives to do the best he can and will never let anyone tell him otherwise.
