I am involved in novel and innovative research projects, addressing large gaps in our knowledge of clotting in brain aneurysms to provide engineering solutions to stroke. I am required to create advanced CAD/CFD models for use in clinical environments, as well as advanced physical experiments to inform and validate the CAD/CFD model results. This work requires me to write a significant number of reports, to give presentations, and identify and source equipment as needed.

Preparation of course material, administration and lecturing for mechanical engineering course.

Modelled a crystallizer in Ansys Fluent using a transient-solution implicit pressure-based solver to determine that the design had sufficient recirculation and heat transfer through the walls. The crystalizer is used in the treatment of brines from mines.

My role required me to oversee site plumbing construction operations for a large government project. Here I was required to schedule and log pipe testing and inspections according to NSPC and IPC, as well as oversee site safety operations according to OSHA standards. Outside of these duties I oversaw testing equipment calibration and electronic equipment failure troubleshooting.

My role required me to gather and analyse soils and concrete for various laboratory tests, to record geological properties and changes in soil profiles. This required me to contact and direct traffic and drilling personnel, and determine utility locations near drilling sites with relevant companies, and servicing and maintaining equipment.
