At Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, I was directly involved with the firm’s M&A and capital markets transactions in the financial services industry; performing general and company specific analyses to assess strategic alternatives in relation to industry trends. My responsibilities included analyzing and assessing client corporate strategy through valuation and profitability analyses, creating interactive financial models, preparing presentations, managing client relationships, working with management teams, attorneys, accountants, regulators, research analysts and sales teams to assist in execution of transactions, assisting with internal transaction flow management and overseeing employee training. From this experience, I acquired extensive financial modeling capabilities including the financial impact of mergers, acquisitions, FDIC assisted transactions, divestitures, capital offerings and strategic initiatives used to aid executive management and board corporate decisions. Achievements include:- Promoted to Associate in March 2008 after completing analyst program in Chicago; volunteered to relocate to New York in December 2008 - Actively involved in eight sell-side, twelve buy-side and three merger of equals transactions totaling $6.9 billion in deal value- Significant role in the raising of $1.6 billion in capital on eight equity offerings (secondary offerings, private placements and convertible preferred securities) and two debt offerings (subordinated notes)
