Ensuring all routine/non routine maintanence is carried out whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.Completing all aspects of the Safety Officer's role including H&S Inspections, Risk Assessments, Permit-to-work and Accident/Incident investigation/reporting. Training of all crew and cadets as well as leading teams in drill scenarios

Portsmouth-Channel Islands-France

I spent nearly four years as Second Officer on board Commodore Clipper a 14,000GRT PAX RO-RO.Here I was undertaking solo OOW watchkeeping duties whilst crossing the English Channel and Casquets TSS. Whilst at sea I was engaged in the safe navigation of the vessel and whilst in port I was in charge of loading the upper vehicle decks with both passenger vehicles and drop trailers.This role also involved being responsible for all LSA/FFA equipment on board including the launching of all Lifeboats/Rescue boats and its respective maintanence in accordance with current regulations and the ships own planned maintanence systems. I was also responsible for the testing/upkeep and ordering of all navigation charts/publications/equipment on board.

Poole-Weymouth-Channelislands-France

Loading and Discharging of passenger vehicles on deck of an INCAT 86m High Speed Craft. This role included liasing with the Chief Officer to discuss loading arrangements. As Bosun I was incharge of a six person team covering all aspects of mooring operations as well as watchkeeping arrangements. Also included on the role was to organise and undertake general maintainence.
