Management of Client Machine Refresh/Replacement, including the roll out of new operating systems (Windows 7 & Windows 10) and other Microsoft packages. Managed the implementation of a UK wide MPLS Network leading to faster network speeds at a cost reduction of over 25%. Introduced a dedicated Help Desk function and managed support for over 350 users, including software and hardware support, maintenance and specification of new products and equipment, to improve the service experience of user. Specified and designed a Nationwide VOIP Telephone system replacing 28 disparate systems leading to efficiencies in line rental costs and system maintenance and support. Designed and managed a Full Infrastructure Refreshment Project, including Servers, Storage and Firewalls. Planned and implemented a full Disaster Recovery Programme for IT infrastructure and communications platforms. Re-negotiated the corporate mobile phone contract for around 400 users achieving savings of £20k per annum.

Achievements and responsibilities: Working across the Selwood core systems the role encompassed the development of products, modules and functionality to create technically excellent, high performance solutions across departments and interfaces. Developed systems over multiple platforms including Jade, Unisys LINC, MS SQL and Visual Basic. Provide Application and Desktop support. Provision of user training on in-house business applications. As Senior Developer in team I was heavily involved in the migration of all core systems from Unisys LINC to Jade platform. Self-taught Cobol programming in order to maintain legacy systems through migration on to LINC platform.
