My role at Shift F7 is to provide both pre- and post-sales support to the Account Managers by understand our customer’s short- and long-term technical and commercial objectives. We are vendor agnostic which means it is imperative that these objectives are fully understood so the correct vendors and solutions can be architected, documented and demonstrated.Whilst being technically involved in the delivery of many projects, I also have to ensure they remain on target and budget during the post-sales cycle. Specific vendors of interest include the Citrix product suite for delivering virtualised desktops, applications and servers, NetApp for unified storage and CommVault for policy driven data management. Cloud solutions offering true user driven automation to deliver desktops and applications in a SaaS model, as well as servers in an IaaS model, from vendors such as Citrix, with their CloudPortal Services Manager and CloudPortal Business Manager, as well as Abiquo, are also of interest.

I provided both pre- and post-sales support to the Account Managers by understand customer’s short- and long-term technical and commercial objectives. I was responsible of architecting, documenting and demonstrating solutions to meet these objectives whilst ensure projects remain on target during the post-sales cycle following TNTG’s tailored Engagement Methodology. Where possible I completed on-site installations, Proof of Concept testing, User and Operational Acceptance Testing and project Handover.I was also responsible for assisting in the development and growth of TNTG by defining and architecting new business strategies.

My role at Zycko was to assist resellers in both the pre- and post-sales cycle. This included demonstrating, documenting, architecting and deploying solutions to the end customers on behalf of the resellers we supported. I was also responsible for maintaining and updating the extensive demonstration facilities at Zycko to show case new and existing vendors and solutions Zycko supported, to provide tailored customer Proof of Concepts to support the reseller's sales cycle and train other engineers.The main products of specialisation included StoreAge, CommVault, Dothill, Isilon and Hitachi Data Systems.

My roles at BTG varied over the years but the final two years I was providing post sales installation, configuration and support to Storage Area Network projects. I specialised in SAN virtualisation with an Asynchronous Heterogeneous product called StoreAge, as well as data management spanning backup, archive, content indexing and eDiscovery with a product called CommVault.
