Provide editorial assistance for the Comparative European Politics journal. Duties include...· Receive, triage and distribute new manuscript submissions to journal editors· Work with editors regarding selection and management of referees, including suggesting referees depending on expertise, and managing their workload· Distribute manuscripts to referees via email, create and manage their schedules and receive and log their review scores and comments.· Liaise with authors via email to keep them up to date with the progress and status of their manuscripts, including notifying them of peer-review and editorial decisions (rejection, revise and resubmit and accepted for publication)· Maintain clear and accurate records of all manuscripts in the review and publication process, ensuring that all parties worked to agreed timescales.· Liaise with publishers Palgrave via email regarding timetabling of forthcoming publications

· Coordinate and manage the external bidding activity of the Faculties of Arts Creative Industries and Education (ACE), Business and Law (FBL) and Professional Services (PS)· Process c.90-100 external funding bids for the faculties through all internal processes, including finance and faculty approvals, ethics reviews, internal peer reviews, and IP and insurance reviews· Conduct basic due diligence of prospective new funding partners, domestic and international, from the private, public and third sectors· Ensure all bids comply with UWE’s own internal policies, and with the specific funders’ policies· Coordinate and oversee the contractual arrangements and negotiations between the University, the funder and other partners following a successful bid· Maintain the University’s internal bid and award system, adding new projects, funders, partners, and academics when required· Provide training and support to academics regarding pre-award bid support and advice when required· Compile reports on bidding activity for specific academics, departments and faculties, when required· Provide ad-hoc post-award project management and support services as and when required

· Organise and run single and multi-day workshops, conferences and other events· Coordinate multi-institution doctoral training networks, centres and partnerships· Manage finances of WISE CDT, including providing budgetary reports and projections· Build and maintain internal and external webpages to publicise research activities and outputs· Use social media channels to publicise research activities and outputs· Provide ongoing post-award administrative support for projects led out of the University of Bath that require assistance
