SOS is a fast growing facilities management services group based in South County Dublin. The business has been rapidly growing over the past number of years as it expands its services including concierge and security. I have joint responsibility for the accounts department as it produces timely management information and analysis to assist this growth period.

Two main aspects1. 2007 to 2023 E tailer of educational toys and games at www.educationaltoys.ie. sadly we decided to close the business in 2023 after 15 years.2. Provision of financial services and advice. In particular I specialise in improving business margins, growing sales and releasing cash.3. Part time financial controller/financial advisor to SMEs

The Axium Buying group is a young company involved in the export of pharmaceuticals and the wholesale supply of pharmaceuticals and front of shop products to pharmacists through the Axium portal. Its public face is the CarePlus Pharmacy brand, Ireland's newest pharmacy brand where Pharmacists retain ownership of their business but rebrand as CarePlus and get all the benefits of a major brand but retain control of their businesses. As of 31st August 2015 there are 6 CarePlus pharmacies around the country which will grow to 15 by the end of 2015 and forecast to grow to 45 by the end of 2016 so watch out for a CarePlus pharmacy near you!My role was as financial controller on a part time basis providing timely and accurate management information including monthly management accounts, annual budgets, forecasts and watching the all important cashflow in a fast expanding business.The assignment ended in April 2016 as the time requirements of the role required a more full time person

New Charities Legislation will require all charities to file audited accounts. The process is further advanced in Northern Ireland than the ROI. I have been preparing the MCI to be able to file consolidated accounts for the whole of Ireland to comply with the legislation. Also providing advice on ensuring good financial governance of the Methodist Church.The consolidated 2014 accounts have been audited and signed for the first time ever. In June 2015 a full time CFO has been appointed and my involvement ended.I have enjoyed the assignment, it was challenging but also very fulfilling.

This was a part time role, roughly 6 days a month preparing management accounts and providing information to the management team in relation to sales, margin, costs and helping with cash management. It was a period of substantial change for the Club with falling membership a major challenge. I helped with the Club's renegotiation of its debt and reducing cash tied up in working capital. The Club has moved to a full time financial control position in 2014 and my involvement ceased with the completion of the 2013 accounts and audit and handover.

Overall responsibility for monthly accounts preparation, budgets, forecasts and financial planning for the business. A key role was reducing a sizeable debtors ledger.

Heiton Retail incorporated Atlantic Homecare and The Panelling Centre. For 18 months I filled in as buying director of Atlantic Homecare responsible for a buying team of 10 and visited trade shows in Europe and the Far East

Preparation of group accounts for Board Meetings, reporting directly to FD. Key liaison role with all subsidiary accountants, banking, insurance and other advisors. Responsible for annual report and overall consolidation of Heiton Group PLC accounts

First role outside audit, responsible for preparation of management accounts, introducing strong financial control systems to a rapidly growing business, preparation of Capex and reporting to Group on financial issues
