I'm on track to graduate with a 1st Class Bsc in Psychology. I have worked hard throughout my degree and have been working at Promis Clinics throughout my final year of studies. My role began as a Healthcare Assistant, helping introduce and acclimatise clients to the centre and with any nursing needs they had, however my role quickly progressed to a more therapeutic role. I have spent the year assisting with group therapy sessions, and speaking to clients about their recovery process, as well as ensuring they complete the necessary psychological assessments needed to ensure they are receiving the best care. I have gained many transferrable knowledge and experience from both my time at university and working at the Recovery centre, including staying calm in tense situations and following protocols, adapting to each client and their needs, dedication and time management, and many others. I am also involved in a fundraising scheme through my university. I have been, and am still currently, raising money for Meningitis Research Foundation through the Choose a challenge scheme, which involves me climbing up Mount Kilimanjaro next year.
