I led a team of 46 engineers & support staff that are responsible for all products, equipment & maintenance within Ricoh's toner cartridge business production area, at our Telford factory. This includes injection moulding, Blow moulding, PET bottle production, Cap & Cartridge assembly and Automated Toner Filling lines. For new products I programme manage all aspects on the new product introduction, including the localisation of parts production, assembly, filling and packaging equipment, together with their related facilities. This will involve heading a team of cross functional staff from all elements of the business (SCM, Maintenance, Parts Engineering etc..), and managing project budgets typically in excess of £2.5m, with time scales of 12 to 24 months. For existing products & equipment my engineering team focuses on the improvement of QCD (Quality, Cost, and Delivery) within our highly automated production areas.

My Engineering Managment role was expanded to include the management of the 34 person strong Maintenance dept. As well as day to day management of a 55 acre site and facilities I developed a 3 yr strategy for the dept which involved the introduction of a new CMM system and controlling an annual budget of £3m plus, developing our environmental strategy, and finally recruitment of a permanent successor.
