I head up a team of 16 highly skilled and competent engineers, designing, managing & supporting the network and server infrastructure across the organisation. Supporting 300+ network drops, 700+ servers and 4000+ clients across the organisation. Providing 24x7 support to the business, delivering to a high standard of availability.I am responsible for the Central IT Operations and Infrastructure budget of circa £3m opex and £1m capex per annum.The regional IT Service Desk Teams had a dotted reporting line to me.I managed projects both nationally and internationally.I travelled to various parts of the business to carry out my duties, Europe, India, Oceania and North America.The team built/refurbished or moved into 7 different data-centres over 15 years as the company expanded and technologies matured. We continually worked towards a centralised IT model, and consolidated systems and technologies wherever it makes sense to do so.I am the Service Owner for a number of the key systems that support the operation, such as Type B EDI Messaging and Customs & Excise EDI Messaging plus I manage and develop the Frontrange HEAT Service Desk to support our IT service desk functions across the network.

Managed a team of 12 engineers support home-users via the Telephone.
