Responsibilities included:Establish and continually update/review the expertise of the KCMC academics and their capabilities.To raise the awareness of the KCMC within the chemistry using industry in the UK.Initiate, develop and facilitate collaborative research and development projects between companies and one or more of the KCMC academics.Monitor major KCMC collaborative R&D projects with industry and liaise with the academic(s) to ensure they progress to plan.Based on discussions and interaction with the chemistry-using industries recommend how the capabilities of the KCMC should be developed to match the needs of industry.Record and report work required to achieve compliance with the financial budget for the KCMC and complete the reporting required by the Partner Institutes and other stakeholders.
