In 2009 I joined Jo Tankers as a Marine Engineer Cadet. I undertook a cadetship for three years, gaining valuable experience in the marine industry. I have sailed on board the following Chemical Tankers ‘M/T Jo Sycamore’ and ‘M/T Jo Sequoia.’ Upon obtaining my CoC: I have sailed twice on the ‘Princimar Integrity’ oil tanker, as a fourth engineer gaining in excess of 6 months experience as a 4th engineer. I am now currently sailing as a 3rd engineer for Pritchard Gordon tankers. and have in excess of 12 months experince in rank. I have gained valuable experience overhauling, servicing and operating the machinery under my supervision i.e. HFO/L.O. purifiers including related Fuel and Lubricating oil systems, Fresh Water Generator and related Fresh Water system including Re-hardening filter and U-V sterilisation system, Sewage treatment plant and associated system, Incinerator unit and associated system, All engine room pumps and filters, All internal and external Ship transfers, including bilge, sludge and Fuel drains etc. I have gained valuable experience with documentation keeping/processing including oil record books and I am very familiar with the coding related to internal and external ship transfers. Whist holding my own Watch Keeping duties both in port and at sea.
