• Managing the operation and processes of the materials control department with overall responsibility for the storage and internal delivery of incoming goods to production and the external dispatch of finished products• Managing, motivating and leading a team of 22 staff and making positive effective decisions in a fast paced manufacturing environment• Continually initiating and implementing cost effective strategies to improve processes and procedures• Utilising the “Just In Time” system in a manufacturing environment and overseeing the issuing & receipt of orders using a Kanban/MRP system• Management of human resources, including staffing, overtime & training• Daily management of OH&S and labour relations issues• Implementation & monitoring of KPI’s

• Co-ordination of daily outgoing orders for customers utilising the Kanban system• Supervision of store-persons• Implementation & monitoring of KPI’s• Co-ordination of ingoing/outgoing stock• Undertake monthly stock-takes & reconciliation• Assisting the Research & Development team with the implementation of new products & processes• Communication with local freight suppliers
