An experienced Project Manager, Site Engineer, Area Team Leader and ITS Engineer with over 20 years experience of ITS, CCTV, VMS, MESH, RTPI, AVL, and AFC integrations, including content rich displays and information systems.I have over 25 years experience in Electronics industries including IT and complex / bespoke systems and software.Recently I have completed a major project to upgrade of all aged and obsolete ITS infrastructure at Norfolk County Council into a Virtualised corporate server environment including UTC Scoot, VMS, CCTV , Parking Guidance, Smart City, Mesh and Traffic signals systems.I am used to working in high pressure environments, and working to tight deadlines on multiple complex concurrent projects with an ongoing delivery pipeline averaging minimum of £2million of projects and associated works.I have worked in partnership with Local Authority, Transit Operators, Airports, Schools, Hospitals and private business, taking on multiple roles including hardware, software, data configuration and training roles concurrently, for customers and systems throughout the UK, and also on international deployments with direct management and delivery responsibilities.I have also operated my own businesses supporting on street automatic ticket machines used for bus and rail industries for service, faults and upgrades, including cash and coin acceptors and banknote validators, plus software and configuration upgrades, networking and telecoms support, stock control, ordering and management.I thrive on new challenges and can quickly adapt to new sectors and business needs.

I undertook this role to assist the ITS team with a major project to modernise aged equipment to modern virtualised systems on in house infrastructure.This involved upgrade, conversion and modernisation of over 200 traffic signal installations using a variety of transmission and communication methods.The central server infrastructure was also replaced and upgraded to virtualised server infrastructure, working with multiple vendors and systems that interoperate using multiple protocols and bespoke systems.The role also involved daily management and fault resolution of over 750 ITS assets including Pedestrian Crossings and Traffic Signals, UTC Scoot and UTMC systems, CCTV and Parking guidance systems / VMS systems, and UTMC central management asset databases.The role has allowed me to gain knowledge of all ITS related products and systems including interoperability and current function.Responsible for fault reporting and management of assigned faults to sub contractors, managing enquiries from members of the public and investigation of reported issues and faults with associated assets.
