• The primary purpose of the position of the Manager Light Fleet and Planning is to manage and oversee the Light Fleet and Planning teams. • Provide strategic management and planning support to the asset life cycles of the fire and rescue appliances, vessel and ancillary equipment to be delivered through the maintenance and engineering areas of Fleet Services. o This will be achieved through managing Light Fleet Capital Replacement Programs and maintaining the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule, monitoring utilization and providing asset life cycle management reporting and advice for FRV equipment maintained through Fleet Services. o This position is required to plan and organise the Light Fleet team to ensure the delivery of multiple light fleet capital projects occurs on time, within budget and that align with Organisational objectives.

• Ensuring compliance with the National Fleet Strategy in the delivery, operation, process, monitoring and disposal of fleet assets during their life-cycle.• Regular analysis and reporting of fleet asset performance related information.• Managing the annual regional fleet operating budget program.• Ensuring fleet insurance claims are processed in accordance within national standards and procedures.• Ensuring a high "service ethos" approach to regions, districts and brigades, providing national consistency, at the same time as meeting region and district needs to ensure operational readiness.• Establishing and maintaining productive, communicative and collaborative stakeholder relationships between Fire and Emergency Operations, regional Contractors/Service Providers and NHQ through regular communication.
