As a highly motivated and dedicated individual, I have pursued various career paths and community initiatives that have enabled me to develop a diverse range of skills and experiences.Following my graduation from school, I enrolled in photography training at Handsworth College and gained valuable experience working for photography companies in Birmingham and West Brom. During this time, I was involved in developing and studio work, which provided me with a solid foundation in the field.Subsequently, I worked at Dunns Photography in Cradley before serving as a movements operative for the auxiliary RAF at Brize Norton. These roles allowed me to further develop my skills in a variety of areas, including teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.In 1998, I began my career as a firefighter for WMFS at Dudley Fire Station, a role that I have been dedicated to ever since. This has allowed me to serve my community and develop my skills in emergency response, leadership, and crisis management.In addition to my career as a firefighter, I have also been actively involved in community initiatives and political parties. In 2015, I was elected as a community councillor after a decade of trying, and I have been able to assist many people with various issues. The same year, I also became the vice chair of the Halesowen Carnival and was later elected as its chairman. With the help of a small committee, we have been able to grow the event year on year, bringing the community together and attracting over 3,000 people each year.In 2018, I resigned from my political party to start a new political party called the Black Country Party, which aimed to represent locals in the Black Country region. Despite encountering issues with our logo, we won the battle to keep it. However, at the end of 2019, I joined the Conservative Party because of their excellent local work and my passion for community development. In May 2020, I was successfully reelected for Halesowen North and was honored to represent the ward and improve the area where needed.Since being elected, I have initiated several community groups, including a youth club, a dementia cafe, and mental health support groups for men and women. It has been fantastic to see the community spirit in the area and the many volunteers who have come forward to assist.Overall, my diverse experiences have enabled me to develop a range of transferable skills that I believe will be an asset in any role. I am committed to serving my community and am always looking for new ways to make a positive impact.
