I started in Allstate as a graduate back in 2012 and have since worked as a developer on a large public facing consumer application serving the American Insurance industry which receives millions of hits per month. The original application was an SDLC development project, written in .NET 3.5 C# web forms wrapped in a custom built framework with a WCF backend. I've been a key member of an agile team for the past two years rewriting the application using a new and more modern technology stack. This exposure has given me invaluable experience in the following: - HTML5/CSS3 - AngularJS 1.x/JavaScript/jQuery- Web API - C# .NET Framework- SOAP Services. - Jasmine Framework- Github & TFS- JIRA- ConfluenceMy development work involves coding/unit testing on all the layers using a test driven development Agile SCRUM approach. I'm involved in all stages of the agile process from collaborating with BA's/PO's, helping review stories in sprint grooming to sharing my opinions in the sprint retrospective.. My work has led me to travelling to the USA multiple times engaging with business partners and meeting with technology stakeholders. I am also part of Allstate's Innovation and Discovery team which focuses on new ideas for use within the company.I recently received a highly coveted standing ovation award for recognition of my technical work and commitment within the company.
