I embarked on my career within the Security industry over 20 years ago as a Close Protection Officer. I was trained in all aspects of this field and went on to protect several high profile clients. I then transferred companies and worked at Abbott Laboratories in Kent as a Security Officer. I have recently used my knowledge and skill base to achieve A1 Assessor Award that I used to assess candidates working to achieve NVQ’s in Providing Security Services. My current role requires me to be flexible with hours, mental agility and to be on call 24/7.   To manage all aspects of a Security Service in a Retail environment of 46 units including leisure and licenced premises. To develop, implement and supervise operational procedures, Assignment Instructions, Standard Operating procedures in line with company goals, policies and current legislation. To develop links with the tenants of the Pavements Shopping Centre, the Yards, Chesterfield Market Hall, Chesterfield Open Market, Chesterfield Borough Council, Derbyshire County Council and the Emergency services and manage those relationships to ensure cooperation and mutual benefit. To act as management representative for the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and amend the documentation as required. Ensure smooth operation of daily activities and to provide emergency response to all security related incidents. Incident and Accident investigation. To control the recording of all events concerning security as required by the Contract Specification, prepare shift rotas and arrange regular patrols of the properties listed in the contract Specification and assist the staff, public and tenants when called upon. Provide time analysis reports as required, to train, control, delegate matters to and liaise with all staff engaged in controlling security as required by the Contract Specification and in the use of CCTV systems including telemetry, multiplex, image printing and security storage equipment, arrange and implement emergency and evacuation procedures and give emergency First Aid and ensure compliance with all current relevant statutes including The Private Security Industry Act 2001, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
