With more than a 20 years in radio broadcasting and five years in senior PR roles, I have an eye for what makes a great news story – and can help you maximise or minimise coverage as appropriate.As a radio journalist and presenter I have a warm and friendly voice, able to adapt appropriately to different situations and audiences. Starting out in local radio, I have had many roles from presenting and news reading to scheduling music, fronting roadshows and outside broadcasts, and writing and producing commercials.In PR, I have worked for a police force and a metropolitan council, developing a wide knowledge and skills base in areas ranging from advertising and marketing campaigns to website development, publication editing, crisis communications and media handling.Since July 2010 I have been freelance, working for stations including Smooth Radio, Real Radio and BBC Radio 5 Live. I have also been Deputy Editor of RadioToday.co.uk and presented the weekly RadioToday Programme podcast about the radio industry. In August 2020 along with my business partner Nick Babb we launched Rombalds Radio - a new digital local radio station for Ilkley, Skipton & Keighley in Yorkshire.
