As a music teacher at Great Hearts Harveston, I am passionate about developing the musical skills and appreciation of students from grades K-7. I run the music program as a founding faculty member, designing and delivering engaging and innovative lessons that align with the classical curriculum and the school's mission and vision. I have a master's degree in jazz studies from the University of New Orleans and over nine years of experience as a professional jazz musician and educator in the New Orleans and Baton Rouge area.Besides teaching music, I also serve as an infantry rifle platoon leader in the Louisiana National Guard, where I apply my leadership, teamwork, and communication skills to support the security and well-being of the state and the nation. I am currently working towards an MBA in project management, which will enable me to further enhance my organizational, strategic, and problem-solving abilities. I am always eager to learn new skills and explore new opportunities that will enrich my personal and professional growth.
