• Initially hired as Group Accountant, promoted in Dec 2016 to Financial Controller. Acts as head of Finance reporting into and deputising for the CFO.• Managing a team of over 10 including Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control, Management Accounts, Financial Accounts and the Finance Business Partners. • Preparation of management accounts on a monthly and annual basis, contact point for internal and external audits and preparing associate company statutory accounts with tagging. Oversight of VAT, PSA, R&D, Corporation Tax and Capital Allowance tax work.• Involved in the selection and implementation of new cloud based Finance and PSA systems. Led the drive for increased functionality of system to achieve greater scope and quality of output.• Evolved the department into a business partnering model. This included the development of department P&L's, assistance with forecasting revenues and cost and reporting monthly results. Result has been better quality information being produced leading to more informed decision making. Areas for improved revenue and cost savings have been identified.• Full review of department policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with best practice and developing a system of continuous improvement. Big focus on increasing automation and removal of reliance on manual spreadsheets. • Responsible for financial elements of the 'hive' of a subsidiary company into the parent. • Created a disaster recovery plan, risk register and business continuity plan for Finance and contributed to the development of an overall plan for the business.

• Experience of working on all sizes of businesses from small to large PLC’s.• Leading audit work from planning, through fieldwork, to completion. • Managing team and providing first review of all work.

• Experience of leading audits including teams of 2 juniors. Largest audit led - £10.5m.• Range of industries audited including printing, manufacturing, professional consultancy, entertainment providers, letting agents and supermarkets. • Planning of audits including setting budgets, audit scoping and client planning meeting. • Supervision and first review of all audit work through to audit completion, including all client interaction to discuss errors, journals and management points. • Assisting in the training and development of juniors.• Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and LLP’s.• Preparation of company and personal tax computations. • Review of payroll files prepared by Payroll Manager
