About Stuart Cook

I have worked in the financial services industry covering Life and Pensions, Investment and a small stint in Banking, since 1993. I can bring over 30 years of experience and insight from the many different positions I have held. My main passions are helping people, working in teams, working to deliver the best service possible, and ensuring the best possible quality, accuracy and efficiency is achieved.I have managed and motivated individuals for over 15 years to positively progress their careers and encouraged them to develop, train and succeed in different roles - most commonly promoted roles. I have led, coached and motivated many project teams both as part of my own area and cross-organisational. I have been told that my people skills come into their own when dealing with stakeholder management. I also have extensive experience of working as part of project teams as a member rather than a leader. I have managed and participated in many Enterprise Risk projects, changes and initiatives both acting as 1st and 2nd line of defence. Again, my ability to develop positive working relationships throughout organisations has helped me to succeed in this area. I have an enthusiasm for process improvement/re-engineering and I like to find the most the most efficient ways of doing things. I am a certified BFQ Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Champion.
