IT BackgroundI have a strong background in IT and have been responsible for the IT management across schools in the US and Australia.I have designed, managed for Joomla based website and includes banners, slideshows, automated newsletter subscriptions and numerous other plug-ins to enhance the site. Military SummaryIn 2004 I moved to the South West of Western Australia with my family after spending over 20 years in the north west of the state both as a teacher and school principal. Gascoyne Junction, Port Hedland, Exmouth, Meekatharra, Wangkatjungka (Central Kimberley), Fitzroy Crossing and Tom Price have all been exciting and in some cases isolated locations where my family and I have loved living and working. My wife Jennifer is originally from the Bunbury area and together with our four sons we are all enjoying living in Australind, just to the north of Bunbury. My eldest son is a bricklayer. My second eldest son is studying Science at University of Western Australia. My third son is studying Sports Science at Edith Cowan University and my youngest son has applied to study Conservation and Wildlife Biology at Edith Cowan University. I initially joined the Army Reserve in 1979 while completing Yr 12. I attended Claremont Teachers College for the next three years and was a member of the West Australian University Regiment. Upon graduating from Teachers College I was posted to the north west town of Meekatharra in 1984. This began an 18-year association with Regional Force Surveillance Units (RFSU) both in the Pilbara and Kimberley. As a solider I attained the rank of sergeant before moving across to the officer stream, I currently hold the rank of Major. Following a number of postings in the south west of Western Australia including a deployment to the Solomon Islands and time with the National Guard in the US I am now back in the Western Australia.
