Responsible for the establishment and ongoing program management of the AMEP in the Western Metropolitan and Ballarat regions, ensuring compliance and KPIs are met in line with funding and service agreements with the Department of Education and Training. I am responsible for establishing two new delivery sites across both regions expanding Djerriwarrh’s product offering in addition to the AMEP. This involves establishing relationships and negotiating agreements with external agencies as well as LfE consortium partners.

The role of Team Manager of the Western portfolio consisted of leading a team in providing a variety of social housing tenancy, property and support services to low, medium and high density self-contained units and rooming houses. It also oversees private rental management, NRAS and Owner’s Corporation. Tenancy clients primarily comprised of low to high needs individuals and families on Disability Support or Aged Pensions that are linked into support. The prime function of the role responsible for achieving organisational KPMs such as vacant turnover, rent arrears and rental income with secondary function focusing on ensuring support partnerships. Within this role I partnered with support organisations to develop targeted nominations within the Barwon and Western Regions such as Wintringham, Independence Australia, ARBIAS and the RDNS to deliver support and housing referral pathways into properties for those at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

This role is responsible for managing all YCH’s internal and external operational matters, partnership development & engagement and service coordination. External focus is on developing new partnerships with support partners and community services agencies and managing existing relationships with DHHS, Corrections Victoria and non-government support partners within the Victorian community services support and health services. The role oversees seven offices spread over a large geographical region of metropolitan Melbourne, leading 8 multi-disciplinary teams from five programs accounting for 40 staff in total. It is responsible for the supervision of team leaders, coaching, professional development and assisting them in recruiting for and recognizing the potential of their teams to better achieve organisational goals.The role drove core business operations in long term community housing, managing a property portfolio in excess of $300 million and revenues of $17 million.The role was accountable for managing risk and ensuring program compliance for the Homelessness funded services, both the Homelessness Access Point (IAP) and the Transitional Housing Program in accordance with their Funding And Service Agreements, ensuring quality and compliance goals were achieved through accreditation in accordance with DHHS Service Standards. It was a key point of contact with the DHHS Local Engagement Officer and the Victorian Housing Registrar.During my time as Housing Services Manager I implemented early intervention strategies for at risk tenancies, reducing overall arrears and bad debts to the lowest level in five years. This was facilitated via service coordination with support partners, further reducing the eviction rate and sustaining more tenancies.

The role was a business development role, responsible for developing work experience programs in partnership with education institutions, local employers, community services organisations and local government. This was to help address training and skill gaps identified in highly disadvantaged job seekers experiencing homelessness, or transitioning from prison and reintegrating within the community. Development and implementation of programs was done within confines of the Employment Services Deed 3 with reporting compliance and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations.

The Business Services Administrator was responsible for managing the whole of the national business services division of iiNet Melbourne, involving business development and operational oversight of internal resources, P&L and service provision.
