Hasler Company is a rehabilitation unit for battle wounded/injured and seriously ill service personnel. My role was to assist those about to leave service to find their next career.I was responsible for finding suitable training or education, liaised with charities to obtain funding for these courses.I also contacted industry to source appropriate work placements.Other roles included leading activities outside of the work environment.

Team leader in the Maritime Security industry. Role included:• Leading a 2-3 man armed security team on high risk transits through areas that were at risk of pirate attack.• Working away from home for long periods, up to four weeks per deployment.• Accounting for live weapons and ensuring their safe stowage at all times.• Providing on the job support to junior members of the team.• Liaising with crew members to ensure their personal safety at all times.• Lecturing the crew on the current pirate threat and conducting pirate attack drills.
