Autex is a Manufacturer of Insulation & Acoustic products.

Responsibilities:• Reported directly to the Managing Director.• Worked closely with Senior Management to provide advice on financial implications of business activities and provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance.• Managed a finance team of 4 direct reports, 2 accountants and 2 clerks.• Relationship management of all key finance external stakeholders including banks, auditors and lawyers.• Management reporting to both local management and overseas parent entities.• Financial year end reports and board reports.• Budget and forecast preparation.• Tax returns, including income tax, fringe benefits tax, payroll tax and GST.• Administration of ERP System Sage 300 (Accpac).• Treasury operations, including management of bank accounts and foreign currency exposure.• Updating ASIC with changes in company details or changes in directors.• Ensuring internal processes are compliant with J-Sox (internal audit).Achievements:• Process improvement. Implemented processes in month end close to reduce monthly close by 1 working day, allowing more time for analysis and review. • Successfully managed a company restructure including the legal draft and review of a business sale agreement together with the necessary steps involved in a change in ownership.• Completed financial analysis and provided recommendations as to whether it was a viable option to consolidate with a related entity. • Achieved nil audit adjustments in annual financial reports over consecutive years through the establishment of accurate monthly financial reporting resulting in less audit fees by approximately $10k. • Successfully calculated an impairment position on intangible assets of $10m that was unadjusted following our external auditors (KPMG) review.• System Implementation – Successfully implemented Accpac Banking Module saving approximately 1 hour daily in manual payment processing time.
