Directly accountable for managing, reporting and leading an engineering assurance team. Responsible for providing engineering system assurance to 148 organisations across the South West across a range of equipment including equipment management processes, vehicles, weapons, telecommunications. Responsible for ensuring thorough examinations conducted on lifting equipment are in accordance with LOLER and PUWER’ 98 with the correct certification held. Responsible for ensuring the company engineering management directive and organisation processes adhere to legislation and service policy. Responsible for delivering technical advice, briefing to the organisational hierarchy and producing engineering technical reports using various computer systems and programmes with key recommendations and procedural advice detailed.

Responsible as the management lead for the engineering development of 24 subordinates, development of engineering solutions and fleet reliability solutions, recovery and preventative maintenance planning for a variety of fleets including a vehicle fleet of 200 vehicles and associated equipments including generators and lifting equipment with a value in excess of £1 million.Responsible for the management and operational planning of a busy, fast - paced workshop; including all logistics, security, legislation compliance and Fire, Health and Safety regulation enforcement to a fleet of 200 vehicles and other assets. Responsible for technical advice and guidance to the organisation senior management.• Reviewing junior staff trade training, identifying training and capability deficiencies, implementing a specific customised training plan and skill enhancement facility. Resulting in a significant improvement in quality, technical knowledge and professional development.• Reviewed the organisation lifting equipment inspection and thorough examination processes in accordance with LOLER and PUWER’ 98, enhancing inspector performance knowledge and required certification.• Conducting a time and motion review, using LEAN principals to significantly improve working conditions. Maximising productivity and use of available resources and facilities.• Identifying 10 staff to deploy to an overseas location. Managing, identifying and delivering equipment and military training requirements. Resulting in a 100% pass rate and successful deployment.• Author of the engineering management directive, the guideline for processes, training and management systems used in the workshop.

Responsible for the churn of 1200 students through foundation, basic trade training and driver training license acquisition. Responsible for the monitoring, planning and quality performance of students through analysis of statistical and course data. Accountable for the management of student performance and review boards to the chief instructor.• Reviewd the practicality, logistical and infrastructure feasibility of locating driver training to the school. Provided statistical analysis and data, delivered detailed briefings to the Chief Instructor and board. Resulting in driver training returning to the school significantly reducing the input to output time of students by 4 weeks.

Responsible for the planned repair, maintenance and inspection in accordance with VOSA of a large vehicle fleet of over 120. Responsible for the management and inspection of various forklifts, cranes, container handlers and lifting equipment. Conducted thorough examinations in accordance with LOLER and PUWER '98. Responsible for the management performance review/appraisals and equipment training for 36 tradesmen. Accountable for KPIs availability statistics and regular fleet availability and status briefings to senior management. Responsible for equipment technical advice to senior management.
