I am a Project Manager and Chartered Civil Engineer with eight years of international experience in the design and delivery of major infrastructure and smaller site development, masterplanning and buildings-based projects.My career has primarily focused on large-scale infrastructure projects, where I've taken on roles such as Civil Engineer, Design Coordinator, and Project Manager. However, I am particularly passionate about site development projects. To date, my work in this space has included sectors such as data centres, renewable energy, and urban regeneration, where I've acted as a Civil Lead and Site Assessment Lead.I've built my career around gaining a solid technical knowledge before adventuring into the world of project management. This technical grounding allows me to affectively manage design teams and subcontractors, whilst also identifying risks early and delivering solutions to keep projects on track. My interpersonal skills and organised and personable management style assist me in engaging with my team and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and project delivery.Whilst I enjoyed my training as a Civil Engineer, I’ve always been more interested in the “big picture” and how the different pieces of the puzzle slot together — be that either understanding how different disciplines interact with each other or how a project moves through it's lifecycle. This is what excites me about roles in Project Management or Development Management, where I can oversee the entire process, and have more influence on the decisions and outcomes.I thrive in fast-paced, collaborative, team environments where I can continue to learn and challenge myself. Combining this with opportunities in the site development space would be the ideal next step in my career.
