Product Manager, Geospatial CloudDefined and introduced a cloud-based platform for managing geospatial data for survey and GIS companies. Products built on the platform include data collection, equipment management, and project management tools. Worked as Product Owner for four internationally distributed Scrum teams in Colorado, Christchurch, and Chennai. Directed local subject matter experts in each country to ensure continuous, productive delivery and oversaw the creation of a unique, targeted UX design that ensured workflow success and branding compliance. Worked on an initiative to eliminate redundant product offerings. This involved combining resources, roadmaps, and requirements from four internal divisions and creating one unified go-to-market plan.Product Manager, SurveyResponsible for management of the Data Controller product line, which included 6 handheld Windows based computing devices. Responsibilities included developing product roadmaps, crafting messaging platforms, performing competitive analysis, creating sales toolkits, establishing pricing strategies, defining target markets, and crafting advertising campaigns. Had extensive contact with prospective and current clients in new sales demonstrations, user group meetings, marketing activities and key customer visitations.Notable projects:Re-defining market for struggling product. Took over management of a new product with struggling sales. Worked across management teams to redefine the target market and create a product roadmap that accommodated differing domestic and international sales strategies.Incorporating newly acquired products. Completed a feature gap analysis to make the products more competitive; defined the pricing and selling strategies for the sales team; and trained our support and deployment teams. Grew revenue by 50% in the Enterprise version and 219% in the SaaS model in the first year.Product launch for new products. Worked to design and launch several new products while working closely with customers to develop a problem-solving feature set. Created the promotion strategy, performed Beta testing programs, trained deployment and support teams, set pricing and incentive plans, and readied our sales department with messaging platforms.Reenergized flagship product. Reversed declining sales of our flagship product through extensive analysis of market size and sales patterns to overcome a belief in the sales organization of market saturation. Pinpoint Technologies changed its name to ZOLL Data Systems in 2004Managed and led a team of developers to maintain and enhance our Dispatch and Billing products. Grew the team from 2 development contractors to 8 fulltime developers and QA engineers. Defined a requirement and bug tracking process so we could accurately measure and report on content, quality and progress of releases.

Managed a group of business analysts, programmers, and testers through the full life-cycle of development projects for an IT consulting organization. Development phases included cost analysis, requirements gathering, design, development, quality assurance, and final acceptance. Responsible for budget adherence, risk management, change management and client communications throughout the project. Elements of XP, RUP and an internally created development methodology were used.

Designed and built a transaction exchange system to facilitate Order, PO and Inventory data exchange between an order management system, warehouse management system(s), and dropshipper’s system(s). C++, TCL, and imbedded SQL were used to create the applications.

Responsible for managing, evaluating, and growing all 20 members of the technical staff. Focused on implementing and improving software practices, creating a budget, and producing a short- and long-term technical plan for the company. Implemented changes in products for internationalization, created and implemented a code control policy, software build strategy, a bug tracking and prioritization system, coding standards, functional and technical specification templates, and code-reviews. Led multiple development teams working on NT, Unix, and Tandem hardware platforms using the C++ and Tal programming languages. We created client/server based PC and web products utilizing DCE RPC, COM and proprietary communication protocols.
