Responsible for managing the operations of the asset based trucking division of the company. I am also responsible for pricing proposals, contracts as related to customer accounts and lanes in dry van, flatbed and bulk container operations. Analyze data to determine profitable lanes which includes rate per mile, deadhead, length of haul and lane density. Evaluate lanes to improve utilization and profitability through rate changes, surcharges and other relevant rate activities. Review contracts and negotiate long term agreements. Work with the sales team to determine most profitable lanes and manage load planners to ensure we are moving the correct lanes. Make sales calls and work with customers to make sure we are meeting their needs. Manage the flow of communication between sales and customer service. Through analysis I highlight opportunities for improvements including cost control, quality, service and new business. Develop and present sales presentations for customer meetings. Develop and generate daily, weekly and monthly reporting on fleet performance to budget. Responsible for developing the yearly budget and manage the P&L of the Operations Department.

Managed the day to day freight levels of a 1,200 dry van operation. Directed 9 regional load planners in daily functions of soliciting appropriate freight levels and maximizing utilization of all power units. Managed the flow of communication customer service, sales and driver management. Trained load planners on how to to increase revenue and utilization of all units. Responsible for the daily review of loads to ensure the maximum profitability. Developed performance measurements for load planners and customer service representatives.
