Strategic Management of ICT at the Shire of Denmark

After selling my business T4 Technology, I have continued working with new owners Solutions IT as a BDM, servicing customers across the state. Primarily focussed on SME and Education customers, as well as local government and government offices.

I established T4 Technology in August 2003 in Albany WA, building on my extensive technology experience in software, systems and support. Our major focus was initially the education sector, working with schools across the Great Southern. Within a year the business had grown exponentially, and due to demand and opportunity we opened our first retail outlet in October 2004, in the Albany CBD. At the time we were the only authorised AppleCentre and Authorised Education Reseller outside of Perth (in WA). In addition we signed up to be the only Vodafone reseller in Albany.The business continued to expand and won an ACCI business award in 2005. Continued growth led to winning several regional service contracts and an important state wide contract with the Department of Education in 2006. Enquiries from beyond the Great Southern and expanded support requirements led to the opening of a service office in Bunbury in 2009 starting with just with one engineer. I continued to develop, manage and grow the business over the years from one person (me!) to 20 employees in two locations. In 2012 we launched a second retail store in Bunbury WA.My philosophy has always been one of building a partnership with customers, and being "down to earth". I have experience in many roles across education and business, with complex and multi-site infrastructures, and this has given me unique experiences, skill, knowledge and insights into the issues facing the education and business sectors. I plan closely with our customers to uncover their core objectives and requirements, and follow up by implementing a technology strategy that supports this. Most of all, I love building relationships with our customers and meeting people from diverse backgrounds.

Managed customer ICT requirements and developed new business relationships, outside the traditional photocopier market.

Developed and remodelled the technology systems at PLC, including updating the laptop program, implementing stable networks and servers and expanding wireless networks across the campus. Worked closely with the Director of Learning Technologies and other teaching staff to ensure that Learning objectives were met by ICT.
