I am an experienced construction Project Manager with 30 years experience in the construction industry, I entered the construction industry from college into a consulting engineers’ office becoming involved in highway and civils design. Following this I spent a year undertaking voluntary work in Nigeria involved in minor development projects. On returning to the UK, a further spell in the design office was followed by 10 years employment with BAA carrying out several roles including Project Leader and Airfield Maintenance Manager. I have been involved as Project Engineer on a variety of airfield construction projects. For the last 11 years I have been employed as a construction manager by WSP on a variety of projects including a number of airfield construction projects, Edinburgh Tram and enabling works for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. More recently I have been project manager on a number of projects including a multi-million pound depot construction project for West Lothian Council and a district heating project in Glenrothes.
