During my time as a Petty Officer (Middle manager) i was supervisor and coordinator of up to 70 personnel where it was my responsibility to ensure that all training from conception to delivery was executed in manner to fit with on going programs and deconflict interest, this included exercises where live ammunition and pyrotechnics where being utilised. I was also a key member of the management of those personnel where work supervision, safety and morale were of up most importance to command.Other roles included;• Coordinator of over 70 personnel• Health and safety representative • Training developer• Ships husbandry planning and training manager• Logistics, stock control and usage manager conforming to all COSHH guidelines• Fire fighter and damage repair team leader. • Diversity and Inclusion mediator• Making sure all logs and documents associated with weapon systems on board are correct and updated weekly. • Safety officer on live firing ranges. • Safety supervisor on part of ship for seamanship evolutions• Exercise safety officer. (Pyrotechnics, live firing)• Ships husbandry and maintenance supervisor - using pneumatic tools and manual methods, priming, mixing paint and coating ships superstructure, ship’s fittings and decks.• Rigging for replenishments at sea moving heavy equipment utilising manual handling techniques, strops and rigging.
