I am a former McKinsey Partner, the former Dean of the Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies at the University of Chicago, the former CEO of Arts and Social Impact Not for Profits, a nationally produced playwright and sometime Jazz Guitarist. I am currently a Senior Fellow at The Invisible Institute, an Emmy and Pulitzer award winning not for profit Journalism Production company. In 2018/19 I was Interdisciplinary Artist in Residence, University of Wisconsin. I am formerly a Bolz Center Fellow, University of Wisconsin School of Business; and Senior Fellow, Environmental Law & Policy Center. My work as playwright explores the intersection of: data, policy, citizen science, advocacy and performance and includes recent productions @ the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Texas Performing Arts Center in Austin, Department of Culture Affairs Chicago in collaboration with The Seldoms, a dance/theatre company and a commission from Steppenwolf Theatre. Past Productions @ leading theatres in US including: South Coast Rep (CA), Victory Gardens (Chicago), Culture Project (NYC), Contemporary American Theatre Festival (DC), and Interact (Philly).

PlaywrightPlaywright Jan 1986 - PresentStuart Flack is an award-winning playwright who’s work has been produced at many of the leading theatres in the U.S. including: Southcoast Rep (Costa Mesa, CA), Culture Project (New York), Interact (Philadelphia), Victory Gardens (Chicago) and Contemporary American Theatre Festival (Washington, D.C.) His plays include: "99% Walden", “Bikila”, “Floaters”, “Sidney Bechet Killed a Man”, “Homeland Security”, “Jonathan Wild”, “American Life & Casualty” and “For Eddy”. He is currently a playwright in residence at Chicago Dramatists.In 2015 he was commissioned by Steppenwolf theatre to adapt John Howard Griffin's “Black Like Me”. He has been awarded two residency grants from the MacDowell Colony. He has been collaborating with The Seldoms a Chicago based dance/theatre company since 2012 on work which uses movement, language, archival material, video, and typography to explore political power and social change. "Power Goes"-- the first piece in this collaboration -- premiered at Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art performance series in March of 2015. "Power Goes went on to a production at Texas Performing Arts at UT Austin and continues to be presented around the U.S. The second collaboration "RockCitizen" is premiering at the Chicago Department of Culture Affairs Storefront Theatre in May of 2016 and will tour nationally. -
