Artesian Venture Partners is a principal investor and specialist fund manager in early stage ventures in Australia, China and South East Asia. Artesian partners with accelerators, incubators, angel groups, universities and digital agencies to create early stage venture capital co-investment funds such as the Sydney Angels Sidecar, Blue Chilli, Iaccelerate and Slingshot. In 2013 Artesian launched Australia's only early stage venture capital fund of funds to provide diverse exposure to these and other fund’s underlying investments. In early 2014 Artesian launched venturecrowd.com.au which is Australia's first equity based crowd funding platform.As a private investor with a diverse global portfolio ranging from traditional listed securities to early stage companies and distressed assets I look for non-correlated risk adjusted returns in growth areas. In addition to direct investments I am an investor/mentor with Sydney Angels, Innovation Bay, Newcastle's Slingshot accelerator, Illawarra's iAccelerate program, Clean-tech accelerator Ignition labs, Telstra's Muru-D, SydVentures and Springboard Australia, which supports entrepreneurial women.Prior to returning to Australia I was a Managing Director in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities division at UBS AG in: Hong Kong: Head of APAC CommoditiesLondon: Head of Global Fixed Income Hedge fund CoverageTokyo: Head of APAC Fixed Income Hedge fund Coverage and Sydney: Institutional Fixed Income Sales I am a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian Association of Angel Investors, an Ambassador for Opportunity International and a guest Lecturer in Finance at the University of Wollongong and the Sydney Business School.In 2018 I am relocating with my family to Thailand to focus exclusively on Artesian's ASEAN fund rollout which will have early stage exposures across Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Phillipines and Indonesia.
