Barclays was the first of 4 UK Banks to adopt this software and the software required significant development to meet UK cheque standards. I was the subject matter expert working with the Business and Carreker to test the software and define changes to ensure that all business and regulatory requirements were satisfied. I also became the key knowledge holder of the Carreker UK databases and this led to my job offer from Carreker. ¥ Development of Management Information using Oracle, SQL and reporting packages.¥ On call programmer / analyst support for Clearing mainframe and windows systems – involving incident support for failed mainframe programs, analysing program errors codes and determining solutions to keep the batch suites processing within Service Level agreements and deadlines. Documenting errors and performing root cause analysis of incidents and problems and providing long term solutions to reduce incidents. ¥ Development of enhancements and changes to COBOL systems¥ Development of windows client server screen scraping applications connecting 3 separate legacy mainframe systems. Included building and administering OS2 LAN infrastructure and DB2 database.
