Stuart Gibbs is a Front End Developer at National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) at National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC). He possess expertise in communication, teaching, teamwork, customer service, public speaking and 35 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I am the Business Librarian at Butler University, and I have had the fortunate opportunity of getting to know Stuart Gibbs as he completed his degree and worked as a student employee in our Information Commons program. Stuart has collaborated with me for multiple projects related to research, teaching, and collection development, and I have gained a true appreciation for his professionalism, dedication, and abilities.
In addition to helping me create online research guides and tutorials, Stuart has assisted with delivery of information literacy instruction in a variety of courses, including those focused on marketing, accounting, and international business. Much of the preparation for business research instruction is conducted under tight deadlines, and Stuart not only completed every project on time, he did so while teaching himself how to navigate our most challenging research databases.
I also counted on Stuart to serve as a role model and peer instructor in several first-year business courses. He was encouraging and supportive of our freshmen and helped them better understand the research process for their business plan projects. Stuart has also been instrumental in assisting with upper-level courses, some of which included MBA students. In every setting, I was impressed by Stuart’s ability to conduct professional one-on-one consultations as well as provide training for students working in groups.
Overall, I am confident that Stuart will successfully transfer his skills and positive attitude to his professional career beyond Butler. He will be an immediate asset and team player, and I highly recommend him to any future employer.
" and "In my capacity as co-supervisor of the Information Commons program at Butler University, I had the pleasure of supervising Stuart for two years. He is hardworking, reliable, smart, funny, and, above all, versatile--equally at ease afoot in customer service and project-based work, committed to learning new things, and impressive in his ability to both manage and relate to peers. As a member of our student leadership team, he showed great skill in managing others, shepherding projects through to completion, and upholding the values and objectives of our program. Stuart not only excels in his work but also ennobles it, elevating each task with nose-to-grindstone fervor. He has my highest recommendation."
