As Associate Director I was responsible for sales, operations, budgets/profits and office functions for Destination Services of La Quinta Resort & Club, a renowned desert destination and part of the Waldorf Astoria collection.- Hired and managed a staff of a half-dozen people, working closely with the Events Services team.- Created and managed operating tours, leisure activities, theme-parties and events both on and off-property for a range of corporate clients.- Responsible for budget and costing of individual programs.

Moved to the Coachella Valley from London, England as the founder of West Coast Transportation, a ground transportation company that provided services to national and international corporate groups. We expanded from 3 founders to 15 full-time and 10 part-time staff in under 3 years, experiencing 500% growth by 1990.- Owned and managed a fleet of over 18 vehicles, including sedans, limousines, motor-coaches, mini-coaches, and vans. - Created and maintained long-term contracts with Fortune 500 companies such as Newsweek (13+ years), Adidas (5+ years), Nike (5+ years), IBM, GE, and BMW.- Worked one-on-one with Hollywood legends like Charlton Heston, Gregory Peck, Frank Sinatra, and Jay Leno.- Created unique and outstanding events, including dinners at celebrity homes and high-end restaurants, as well as Palm Springs-specific company activities, like desert Jeep tours, Hummer tours, and hot air balloon excursions.- Responsible for the city-wide shuttle services between high-end resorts across the Coachella Valley as part of a tourism strategy to improve access and ease of transportation for visitors.
