With 18+ years commercial experience within the Customer services / Support arena I have gained a vast wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding of customer problems. I'm currently a 2nd / 3rd line Technical Consultant supporting key customers installations, applying patches and uplifting software levels to their Open Accounts systems. I have good working knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server 2003 up to and including Windows Server 2012) as well as various client / server connectivity methods such as Citrix and Windows RDP. I provide technical support over the phone, via email as well as using remote connection tools such as WebEx, Go To Assist and Team Viewer. Over the years I have been in the support sector I have gained not only experience and knowledge, I've gained confidence and I'm more than capable to communicate at all levels, both technically and being able to explain problems and resolutions at a level that can be understood by non-technical customers. Day to day my role consists of applying patches to current configurations, producing Health Check Reports, liaising with third parties, carrying out system refreshes and seeing problems through to resolution using my existing systems knowledge, on line resources as well as internal knowledge bases. Typically, no two days are the same with new challenges presenting themselves. Along side my role at Advanced I am the designated First Aider and appointed Fire marshal.
