Key Achievement: Developed and effectively led a review to introduce manning efficiencies into the Engineering Support structure for the British Army UK base. Delivered, through cross departmental engagement and the application of LEAN techniques, against tight timelines and a backdrop of redundancies, a cost effective proposal for the future Engineering Support structure. This was delivered on time for ministerial approval as part of a wider Army restructuring initiative to be implemented in 2012. Show less

Working within a joint; Army, Navy and Air Force, aviation centric environment as the sole land based equipment engineer providing advice up and down the chain of command. Conducted inclusive planning, against extremely critical timelines, to deliver a support package, including technical training, for all general and specifically procured equipment to be operated by the forces deploying to Afghanistan.

Commanded a multi-discipline workshop of approximately eighty personnel. Responsible for their welfare, career development and discipline in addition to coordinating and directing the delivery of technical support to an organisation of around five hundred operating a c300 vehicle fleet. Planned for and successfully moved the workshop from Colchester to Aldershot and prepared the organisation within tight timelines for deployment to Iraq. In charge of the multi discipline technical team supporting the British Army's new in to service Main Battle Tank. Dealing with the industry partner to ensure effective introduction and through life support, including the development of a workable 'gain-share' mid-life improvement plan. Also completed a review into the current and future fuel equipment system holdings and repair process, identifying opportunities for c£14m savings over 10 years.
