Stuart brings to Willana over thirty (30) years’ experience in urban planning and management. Over the last decade, Stuart’s focus has been on running, in partnership, the successful consultancy known as Willana Associates P/L (NOW WILLANA URBAN). As one of the founding Directors of the firm, Stuart has been involved in a wide range of urban planning and management of projects involving a wide range of clients.

The role of Planning Manager - National included responsibility for the discipline of Urban Planning, internationally, within Hassell. This included overseeing planning in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. Projects undertaken at Hassell included the initial stages of the Harrington Park Estate; commencement and subsequent roll-out of the Vodafone Network. Other work included a range of Urban Planning commissions such as Development Control Plans for Woollahra, Randwick and Mosman Councils; a variety of Court related work for developers and Council's as well as extensive experience in Development Assessment. Experience included involvement in a number of developer based commissions seeking approvals through the planning process.Strong relationships were developed with a variety of clients across the development sector as well as within government.

The starting point for Stuart’s career is underpinned by his role as a Deputy Chief Town Planner working for local government. After several years and an extensive variety of projects, Stuart made the progression to the private sector. His local government, management experience, has enriched his future role, in negotiating acceptable planning outcomes on often complicated and controversial developments.
