Established the new Transport for London Major Projects Directorate, with accountability for efficient and timely delivery of all major Projects, including: Four Lines Modernisation, Northern Line Extension, Deep Tube Upgrade Programme, Silvertown Road Tunnel, Bank and Victoria station Capacity schemes and Barkingside Riverside Extension. The current negotiation and delivery of a new Communications Based Train Control signalling system (the largest tube upgrade and one of the largest, most complex signalling upgrades in the world) will further unlock significant journey time and capacity benefits, to enable the journey towards a world class tube for a world class city.Motivation of the programme delivery team of accomplished professionals, to ensure aligned objectives and focus on engagement of "one team" to ensure success of a motivated team to all support a common objective of delivery. The delivery of the upgrade requires significant investment to collaborate with numerous key contractors in the railway industry, to ensure complex integration and problem solving is undertaken to enable timely, safe and efficient delivery.A significant challenge is to ensure that all stakeholders gain and retain confidence in the delivery of this complex, but strategically important programme, which will transform customers journeys across London. The upgrade was delivered using a collaborative leadership change programme, culminating in being recognised at the National Rail Awards for Outstanding Team of the Year 2014.2) World Class Capacity programme, to deliver further significant increase in capacity to the Jubilee, Northern and Victoria lines, including procurement of new trains to supplement the exiting fleet;3) Northern Line Extension programme, a one billion pound extension to Battersea to provide rail access to the major development of Battersea power station, Nine Elms and the regeneration of the surrounding area;4) Legacy Train Systems programme, delivering life extension to optimise rolling stock and signalling assets on the Bakerloo and Central lines to support increasing asset life and reliability prior to upgrade of these lines.In addition the programme supports several other key projects to optimise asset life, such as the relining of the tunnel between Baker Street and Bond Street, recently recognised by the institution of Civil Engineers.I am a member of the leadership team for the London Underground Capital Programme Directorate, one of the largest capital programme investments across Europe.
