I managed all engineering activities within multipurpose pharmaceutical production facility. Production asset value £48 million. Ensuring compliance with relevant health & safety and cGMP standards. I accepted and approved all plant modifications / improvements. I managed and interfaced with customers and contractors. I lead and rewarded a team of direct and indirect reports.I developed and manage maintenance budget £1.7 million. Bottom up budgeting based on my developed maintenance strategy based on equipment criticalities.In conjunction with other department plant engineers, we developed and delivered KPIs for engineering performance measurement and improvement. Use of ‘top 10’ system based on cost, hours and number of occurrences to deliver focused approach.I implemented the use of Lean / 6 sigma tools for the purpose of Root Cause Analyses on failures and facilitate design out of issues. I worked intensely on developing relationships with senior business directors (financial & operational) facilitating approval process. I was involved with and fronted the engineering section of audit, inspection and investigation with required regulatory bodies. Quality systems audits with FDA / MCA. Health & Safety investigations with HSE

I was responsible for leading teams with full accountability for delivering automation, control and instrumentation projects. The teams varied in size but included network designers, software engineers, control system & instrument designers and instrument & electrical installation engineers including installation teams.Deliverables were management of multiple automation projects to GAMP standards, inclusive of; budget development & management, system design, contractor management (design, installation & software), commissioning and full GAMP validation package.
