Stuart heads business development at Integrated Skills providing RouteSmart route optimisation software and consultancy services mainly but not exclusively to the public sector. He also heads Integrated Skills' wider Waste Issues Webinar Programme to help waste & resource managers understand how to improve their service performance and provide service quality. Stuart also heads Integrated Skills UK-wide Waste Composition Analysis work, SAfter gaining BA and Diploma in Landscape Architecture at Leeds Polytechnic, Stuart managed a Community Programme project developing a Horticultural centre, a number of landscape regeneration projects and a Furniture Re-Use project in West Yorkshire, Following that he joined Tidy Britain Group's Pilot Project Team, to understand why the public throw litter, and then developing the output measures which formed Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Code of Practice on Litter & Refuse. He worked for Selby District Council for 15 years where he led its People and Places Programme, and became Service Manager for Waste, Streets, and Grounds Maintenance. In the meantime he gained a MSc at Hull University in Environmental Policy & Management. Joining WYG and later Integrated Skills where he heads its business development. Stuart is a CIWM Centre Councillor for the NE and has recently renewed a lifelong ambition to learn to play the piano. His wife is delighted he has a headphone socket.
