I operate, control & monitor via, DCS and infield interaction, The role involves handling trips, plant start-ups and emergency shutdowns in a safe manner. I operate the plant within the operating limits to meet pre-defined production targets. On a shift basis I follow sound operating practices, including fault diagnosis and maintenance service requests. Provide comprehensive shift handovers indicating key elements of the plant status including process parameters, equipment availability, and any safety issues to ensure a smooth transition across shifts .As part of this role I regularly interact with Instrument mech’s, Analyser mech’s and Mechanical personnel.

I am a Manufacturing Technician covering two roles across two Acetic acid/Acetic Anhydride Processes. I am responsible for the safe and reliable operation of the plant and associated equipment.My routine tasks include plant checks/tours, hazard identification, reporting incidents and near misses, taking corrective action to control hazards, take part in incident review and emergency exercises sampling different process streams, taking plant readings, and carrying out preventative maintenance tasks. I am experienced in preparing the plant for maintenance and ensure the equipment is isolated in compliance with equipment and isolation procedures.

As a Relief shift supervisor I have over Seven years’ experience of managing a small shift team on the occasions I am required to fill the role, organising daily activities on the plants, attending daily production and maintenance meetings, giving feedback to management on plant production, control and maintenance issues. Liaising with contractors to ensure work activities are controlled and managed within the plant boundaries. I regularly provide cover for Team leaders, CRO’s and Permit Coordinators due to my Knowledge and experience of the asset. I issue permits and perform gas testing in accordance with BP permit to work systems. I regularly participate in the development of procedures with the shift and Day team
