I have now been in the Bowling industry for 9 years, 4 of which have been as a bowling technician. My current role is with Airtastic as Regional Bowling Technician, where I look after 62 lanes across 5 sites around the island of Ireland. Before, I worked with Hollywood Bowl Belfast & LISBURN BOWL LIMITED where I had worked for 7 years, holding multiple titles, such as Receptionist which allowed me to work and better understand our Conqueror systems with Qubica. Management, which gave me an outlook on how the business runs on a day to day basis. Maintenance, which is where I spent the last 3 years of my employment at Lisburn Bowl, this allowed me to understand how everything operates from a mechanics point of view. Since being on maintenance, I’ve been trained under a Senior technician of 10+ years in such areas as servicing, preventative maintenance and other in-house maintenance. I’ve attended seminars on up and coming bowling technology, installed interactive bowling displays over our lanes from our friends at Clutch Bowling and i was responsible for keeping our FOH POS systems up to date. I currently have experience with QubicaAMF XLi’s and Edge String Pinspotters as well as Funk/SES string machines. I am open to gaining knowledge with other models, new and old.
